Healthy gums and teeth are important to your child’s overall health. To prevent tooth decay and keep your child’s teeth strong, we recommend fluoride treatments every six months. Read on further for information about fluoride and how it benefits your child.
What is Fluoride?
Fluoride is a dental treatment used to prevent tooth decay and strengthen the tooth enamel. Fluoride treatments are made from the mineral, fluoride. Keep in mind that flossing, regular dental care, and a healthy diet are the best ways to prevent cavities and decay.
Is Fluoride Safe?
If only a small amount is used, fluoride is considered safe by doctors and dentists all over the world. We provide tasty fluoride flavors so your child enjoys the process as much as possible.
Cleaning & Fluoride
As part of the exam, your child will receive a fluoride treatment to make their teeth extra strong. The fluoride is a varnish that is applied to your child’s teeth. After it is applies, it quickly hardens. Because of this, your child can eat or drink immediately. However, do not allow them to brush for at least 4 to 6 hours.
